My dream job is to be a programmer.
First of all, my major in college will be computer science. I’ll have so many required courses like software engineering, java and things like that, so after I graduate, I’ll have enough professional expertise to be qualified for this job.
Also, this job can be fascinating. Many people think that being a programmer is all about sitting in front of a computer all day, typing on the keyboard, writing endless codes and programs, which is super boring. However, it’s actually quite the opposite. If you are in our circle, you’ll think differently. I mean, we always consider ourselves as ‘god’, we are able to create a whole new world, you see, we make the rules in those games, and we decide what kind of skills those characters can have, and we think of ways to make people’s lives easier by developing those applications you can download in your smart phones.
So if you ask me, to some extent, programmers have changed the world. They revolutionized the way we live. For example, now people can use the app on their phone to order takeout or book a taxi ride. They could also keep in touch with their friends and family members using those social networking apps. In the past, if you want to contact others, we could only make phone calls or send text messages, but now, we could send a voice message or even video chat with them.
So, as you can see, this job is really meaningful, and I would feel fulfilled if I could be a programmer.
